About me
Becky Tapley is a STEM Education Specialist at the Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance. She serves as the Project Manager of the STEM WorkForce Ready 2030 project, as well as a math consultant and ACRES (Afterschool Coaching for Reflective Educators in STEM) coach.
After growing up in Salt Lake City, she started her adventures in the education field in an out-of-school setting at a YMCA outside of Boston. During her 18 years of teaching in the public school system, she developed her passion for teaching mathematics and collaborating with other teachers to support youth’s curiosity, love of learning, and emotional growth. Becky had the honor of being the 2016 Hancock County Teacher of the Year and 2017 Maine Teacher of the Year Finalist. Pronouns: she, her, hers
