About me
Hi everyone, I'm Maranda Chung, Science Team Lead and SciEPlay project lead at MMSA. My passion for experiential learning started in my childhood here in Brunswick and grew through my Environmental Studies degree at Skidmore College. That passion led me to 11 years teaching and managing hands-on science programs in Maine and California, where I had the joy of leading redwood hikes, guiding coastal ecosystem explorations, and developing school garden curricula. After time at Chewonki (Wiscasset) and Wolfe's Neck Center (Freeport), I'm now thrilled to be at MMSA, where I research play-based science and develop professional learning experiences for educators. I'm passionate about fostering curiosity, community, and connection with the natural world. Outside of work, you can find me cooking, dancing (Zumba!), listening to podcasts, and exploring Maine with my family.
