About me
Hi! My name is Emma Carey, and I am a STEM Education Specialist for Informal Education at MMSA. I am currently working on the Teach ME Outside, High School Energy Futures, and Maine-SMART projects. I have a background in zoology, marine biology, and conservation education. Prior to MMSA, I worked at the Seacoast Science Center, providing place-based programming for students and visitors. I am passionate about working with and connecting educators to celebrate student-driven education, and the natural wonder of our youth. When I am not working, I love to travel, and spend time outside at the beach, in the mountains, or walking in the woods.
